For example we recently sold a house in Sunbury before our photographer visited and the details went online. We generated 13 viewings within the first week and sold it at the full asking price.’

‘With outside space and an area to work comfortably from home being an increasing requirement, many tenants are upsizing to properties with a balcony or direct river views,’ says Lydia Beesley, Lettings Director at Waterview. ‘Properties that are well presented and priced correctly are being let incredibly quickly and Landlords are listening to our advice to ensure minimal void periods. In these uncertain times, both Landlords and tenants are after stability when it comes to their homes and properties which is resulting in more committed applicants and longer tenancies. For example we let a penthouse apartment in Canary Wharf, with direct river views, in the middle of the spring lockdown to Corporate tenants on a long term tenancy after the property had been on with multiple agents previously. Most of our tenants are couples and city workers and this hasn’t changed in recent months. Many professionals are either moving into or staying in the area as they anticipate returning to the office and prefer to be local.’
